Recently, Sanyo gave us the opportunity to use and review one of their home theater projectors, the FUll HD LCD LP-Z2000 (overseas known as the PLV-2000). This projector was originally launched last year, and while we might be a little late in getting it, Sanyo assured us that one reason for the review now was so we could become familiar with this technology in order to review new models that will be released later this year.
Last week we were invited by Willcom in Tokyo to test their hot new Willcom D4 aka Sharp WS016SH (don’t get the idea we flew thousands of klicks… their office is next door to ours).
We have here a 1.33GHz Centrino Atom Z520 CPU (one of the first UMPCs on the market carrying it!) Windows Vista, 40GB HDD, 1GB RAM, a 5" 1024x600 TFT touchscreen all in a compact size of 84x188x25.9mm and weighing 470g… Nearly first generation PSP size!
For years Sanyo has been without a doubt the largest and strongest player in the Compact Digital Video Camera world, and crushed competitors generation after generation. Now after the Canon TX1, Sony is at the plate with its HDR-TG1, better know in Europe as the HDR-TG3.

A direct challenger to the Sanyo Xacti HD1000, the HDR-TG1 is also a full HD capable device (1080i), but a very expensive one. In Japan it's twice as expensive, is the TG1 really worth it?
Here it is, the iRiver E100 review. No need to hide it any longer, the E100 is an excellent product. Very well built and, at a price of 129€ for the 8GB version, it's as good as it gets.
Open the box of your brand new E100 and you'll find the usual suspects: player, a USB cable, audio headset, quick start guide, and installation CD. The USB cable can be used to recharge the player and also to transfer files from your computer to the E100 (pictures, ...

The second generation Sony Mylo is kind of a "User Friendly PDA" with which you can surf the internet (in a/b/g WiFi), send/receive e-mails, use Skype, listen to music, social network, take and view pictures, watch videos... That sort of thing.
Hands-on
The Mylo is really easy to handle and use. It's compact, the keyboard slides perfectly, materials feel pretty good too and in no time you'll type as fast as you're used to... I noticed a couple problems though: the...

With the HD1000, Sanyo finally takes the Xacti range to the next level! Even though the dimensions have increased, it remains a compact and very practical product. Now let's see if it's worth your money.
Hands on
Very close to what your "average" Xacti looks like, the HD1000 will simply require bigger pockets. The weight excess isn't a handicap as it provides additional stability. All in all it's very good even though we've now come pretty far from the discretion...

The plug & play system makes these devices extremely easy to use, almost like inserting a cartridge in those good old video consoles back in the day! HDD racks are an excellent tool for those who need to store a lot of data in a tiny and robust device.<br...

Just like the Xacti DMX-CG65, the new HD 700 is very compact; both appear very similar, and that's a great thing because Sanyo managed to put in HD with equal dimensions and weight.
