The Master Cooler « OROCHI » from Scythe

Rate this News:  BadPoorAverageGoodExcellent

As you may know, heat is the worst enemy to anyone who desires to “overclock” his CPU and cooling is his best friend. Now there are two majors different camps/ways to cool down a CPU with a regular fan, heat sink, or water-cooling system.

Difficult to install and somehow dangerous for your computer, the water-cooling option is often the last choice that many make. While fans and heat sinks are definitely the most popular methods, these are also the noisiest and bulky…

Like this IMPRESSIVE 1kg COOLER from Orochi with its optional 500rpm fan… We have no idea how efficient this system is, but nevertheless you’d better have a pretty big PC case!

No it does not mean serpent/snake... The Orochi is a mythical creature, a snake monster with 6 heads

Yamata no Orochi ("eight-forked serpent")...The terrible dragon had eight heads and eight tails, stretched over eight hills and was said to have eyes as red as good wine.

Wow seriously. Come on, I've seen better sentence structures from elementary school kids.

"You" does not equate to "him." Overclocking doesn't need to be put in parenthesis. Tone of the article suggests that readers are well aware of the basics of computer and overclocking.

Two major camps, yet you provide three examples without grouping "fan" with "heatsink." You should have said fan and heatsink, and water cooling.

Nothing says "Hey, I've done jack shit to do any research/journalism on the product that I'm writing about" than saying "we have no idea." Smooth Akihabra. Smooth.

It depends on the fans. There are some fans with a 74 cfm ratio with a 14db rating. That is inaudible to human ears.

Water cooling is dangerous? I guess thats why companies are still producing them. Seriously, can you be any less objective and ignorant? Watch the tone.

"somehow dangerous"

Can you be any more ignorant? Explain how it's dangerous at least.
